I just came acroos your blog and wanted to thank you for this post. God has also been encouraging me to keep my focus on Him and rest in His promises. I would like to offer you a verse I have been reflecting on this week. “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. You could always just say “EXPLICATIVE!!!” instead of swearing. Sure, you’d look like a dork, but that doesn’t stop me We’ve read Alphonsus Ligouri’s Preparation For Death, but it’s kinda heavy, not for the overly-scrupulous, and probably would need to be accompanied by some writings on God’s mercy.
